The Board would like to address the concerns and questions raised by members and devotees regarding Sidharth Sarangi no longer being employed by the Temple. We understand that this situation has caused distress, confusion, and disappointment among many in our community, and we acknowledge the strong feelings that many devotees have expressed.
As we move forward, the Temple remains committed to the value of transparency in all matters concerning the institution and those who serve it. Our goal is to ensure that the Temple continues to function in a manner that upholds its responsibilities to the entire community and preserves the stability and harmony of the organization.
Because this matter involves personnel considerations, the Temple is limited in what specific details can be shared publicly. This limitation should not be interpreted as a lack of transparency but rather as a necessary step to protect privacy regarding personnel matters as required in California.
On a separate note, we have received questions about who is responsible for employment decisions at the Temple. All employment matters are handled by the Temple Board, in accordance with the Bylaws, established policies and legal obligations. These processes are in place to ensure proper governance.
At this time, the Board’s focus is on moving forward in a positive and constructive manner. We remain committed to maintaining a peaceful, respectful, and spiritually centered environment for all devotees. We encourage members of the community to continue supporting the Temple’s activities and to share any concerns through the appropriate channels so they may be addressed respectfully and responsibly.
We thank all devotees for their continued support, understanding, and commitment to the Temple and its future.

Here are a few photos from recent events:
A high school graduate recognition and Saraswati Puja was held at the Temple for our 2024 graduates. These college-bound young adults had a great time—we plan to hold and grow this event each year so that these students full of limitless potential are ready for college with the blessings of our Temple and community.
The Hindu Temple of Fresno was founded in 1990 to provide a spiritual center for the Hindu community in Central Valley, California. The temple serves as a gathering place where hundreds of people come together to participate in collective prayers, enjoy cultural events, and foster a sense of community and belonging. Over the years, the Fresno Hindu Temple has played an important role in promoting its members’ spiritual growth and well-being and continues to be an essential hub for future generations.
The various poojas and rituals are both educational and enlightening, as our priests take the time to explain the purpose behind each ritual in easy-to-understand terms. The Temple strives to help children and adults better understand the Hindu religion and its origins.
